Information
Sometimes it’s the little things that count. Such as encouragement to keep their home tidy, or going with them to the shops on a Wednesday, or the cinema on Thursday, helping them to attend a college course, or to arrange a social night with friends. It can be pretty challenging at times but working as part of our support team, your support will definitely make the difference.
What do you need? No direct experience is required. It’s more a positive approach and a genuine interest in helping others in a practical way. Experience of supporting people in their own homes would be an advantage. A qualification in Social Care would be ideal but it’s not essential.
