Creating A Dementia Friendly Community in Clarkston

It is our absolute pleasure to announce that Clarkston Churches Together are hosting the "Creating a Dementia Friendly Community" event in partnership with us on Saturday 7 October 2017.

The Open Day will feature:

  • Keynote Address: Andy Lowndes (co-founder with Sally Magnusson of ‘Playlist for Life’)

  • Workshops “Communication and Dementia”: CrossReach

  • Workshops “Heart for Art and Creativity”: CrossReach

The aim of the day is to reduce the stigma surrounding dementia and to raise awareness of the support available in the Clarkston Area.  Representatives from organisations and initiatives supporting people who have dementia in the Clarkston area will be there to chat with and listen to you.

As it is a Pop-In style event, no bookings are necessary but to avoid disappointment, if you’d like to attend one of the workshops, please book your place in advance (each workshop will run twice: 10.00am – 11.00am and 11.00am to 12 noon).

For more information, contact the Clarkston Churches Together office.
