All services seek to provide a service of excellence where both staff and service users alike are valued and encouraged to reach their maximum potential.
Marlene C Smith is Director for Services to Older People – She is supported by five senior managers:
- Annie McDonald: Head of Service – North
- Brenda Fraser: Head of Service – East
- Allan Logan: Head of Service – West
- Jane Allan: Business Partner Human Resources and STOP
- Eoin McDunphy: Business Partner Finance and STOP
- Fiona Guthrie provides secretarial support to Marlene.
Older People’s Services are supported by Pamela MacKay, Development Officer, Dementia Care.
S.V.Q. qualification of staff remains a priority and linking with the Heads of Service there are three Employee Development Officers working on this, Isabella Sharpe, Maureen Murphy and Morag Waring. The EDOs also deliver training throughout Older People’s Services.
Customer Service Excellence Award, previously known as Charter Mark, has been rolled out to Older People’s Services. It is a governmental award for excellence in customer service and over 85% off all Older People’s Services have gained independant quality accreditation through these awards.
