SSSC – Recognising Threshold Glasgow’s Enlightened Approach

Congratulations to our Threshold Glasgow service, winners of the 2017 Scottish Social Services Awards category 3 “An Enlightened Approach”, which has recognised their active promotion of the importance of learning and development for everyone in the service.

Customers and workers were delighted to be shortlisted as finalists and could barely believe they were crowned winners at the recent awards.

The service works to the belief that the customers and workers have an equal right to high quality training and development opportunities and that everyone has the right to have a direct input and influence on the training they receive.

Threshold Glasgow’s innovation in developing and training our customers and workers, has provided significant opportunities to develop their skills, leadership, and knowledge over many areas.

In times recognised as being of significant challenge for the social care sector, Threshold Glasgow has worked to optimise the experience of everyone within the Threshold Glasgow family by practically recognising and affirming each person’s potential and value.
