At Threshold Edinburgh we provide Housing Support and Care at Home within mainstream housing to adults with a learning difficulty and associated physical health needs.

We value all our service users as individuals and as 'people first' and recognise that everyone has the right to be safe and secure.  Each person deserves the opportunity and the right level of support to maximise their gifts and abilities and to excercise chioce, citizenship, privilages and freedom.  We believe that a person's individuality and personality is a gift and is experienced most effectively through social inclusion.

Aims and Objectives

Our aim is to provide you with support which is person centred, you can expect us to work with you to create your own personal support plan to meet your needs and help you to achieve your hopes and dreams.

We will encourage you to be independant, assist and support you to develop the living skills required to help you to maintain your tenancy, such as, budgeting, cooking, personal care, home and personal security and travel.

You will receive support to enable you to have opportunities to participate in your community and to develop friendships and relationships.

We will support and encourage you to pursue education, employment and holiday opportunities.

To encourage and support you to attend and express your views at local and national service user forum meeting.
