A relational Model of Care to Support Children and Young People

This document aims to outline CrossReach’s philosophy and model of care and education for children who live in one of our houses as well as those educated in our school but living elsewhere. Our relational approach, which is attainment-informed and trauma-sensitive, is grounded in the principles and practices of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP). A clear philosophy of care provides the foundation for working in the best interests of the children and young people who live, play, grow and learn here. The values, theories and practice set out in this document are relevant to all adults in the organisation, whatever their role. It also sets out for children, young people and their families what they can expect from CrossReach Care and Education Services.
