Very Rev Dr Iain Greenshields - head and shoulders portrait

Very Rev Dr Iain Greenshields was born and brought up in the Drumchapel area of Glasgow. In 1984 he was ordained as a Church of Scotland minister and his first charge was in Cranhill near Easterhouse for 9 years. Having ministered in a range of communities throughout Scotland, he currently serves in St Margaret's Community Church in Dunfermline, Fife.  

Married to Linda, they have 6 children with their three youngest daughters coming from different parts of China. Mr Greenshields has a deep passion for people, their interests, needs and potential. 

During his year as The Moderator to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 2022/23, he openly spoke of his appreciation of the significant and far-reaching support provided by CrossReach. 

A lifelong fan of Partick Thistle Football Club, Mr Greenshields also enjoys reading, cycling, badminton and the very occasional game of golf.
