“Making every day a good one.”

  • Are you looking for a change of career?
  • Rewarding work with real job satisfaction
  • Opportunity to bring in new ideas

Here at South Beach House in Ardrossan, we don’t just see those we work with as older people. They’re someone’s mum. Someone’s dad. Someone’s grandparent.  For us, providing the best quality of care is hugely rewarding and our goal is to ensure that every one of our residents enjoys the best possible quality of life.

We help older people to live every day to the full by providing a range of activities all aimed at enhancing their quality of life.   From playing armchair football to painting a picture or joining in a sing-song and much more, you’ll provide plenty of opportunity to get involved through focused activity.

An understanding of working with older people, and how activities can promote self-worth and achievement is just the start.   You’ll bring enthusiasm and energy to work with the rest of the team and volunteers to organise activities and outings.  Your friendly, encouraging approach to exploring ideas for projects will involve everyone in the process.  We’re proud of our innovative work here and although direct experience is not essential, a structured approach to keeping notes and reports is required.

While an SVQ 3 qualification in Social Care would be ideal, it’s not essential as we’ll support you to gain it.  In fact, we’ll make sure that you have all the training and development you need, not only so you can do a great job, but to help you build your career with us too.  You can also look forward to an excellent benefits package that includes an employer contributory pension and generous holiday allowance.

Salary is pro rata of 38.5 hours per week.
