This is a temporary position for six months.  As the main visiting hours for our services are between 9am and 5pm, 7 days per week, we can be flexible with working days/hours for the right candidates.  Full time/part time or weekday/weekend working can be discussed at interview.  Please specify your preferences as to working days and hours in Relevant Information on your application form.

Main Function

  • To provide administration for the Covid-19 testing processes for staff and visitors, including analysing tests and appropriately recording and reporting of results.
  • To provide visitors with guidance on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use and the process for using the testing kits to self-test.
  • To provide administration for scheduling visits to the care home.
  • To ensure the assigned visiting area is cleaned between each visit.
  • Full training and PPE will be provided.

Main Duties

  1. To provide administration for the weekly Covid-19 PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) testing processes for staff ensuring that the tests are collated and packaged to meet the agreed timescales for courier pick up.
  2. To accurately record tests undertaken and being sent for testing on the appropriate Government website.
  3. To provide administration for the Lateral Flow Testing (LFT) required for both staff and visitors to the care home.  This will involve analysing test results and accurately recording and reporting the results on the portal.
  4. To provide guidance and observe visitors use of PPE and the LFT self testing kits.
  5. To communicate with external visitors to schedule visits to the care home.
  6. To ensure the assigned visiting area is cleaned between each visit.
  7. To assist in the order process for test kits.
  8. To communicate with staff within the service or in Regional and Head Offices when necessary to seek or pass on information.
  9. Any other duties which may reasonably fall within the parameters of the post.

Skills and Abilities

Essential:

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft packages, (Word, Excel, Outlook etc).
  • Accurate typing skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and work within agreed deadlines.
  • Be able to communicate with staff at all levels of the organisation as well as relatives and other external visitors
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • A warm and friendly manner and a professional attitude.
