Main Function

All those employed within the CrossReach Children & Family Services will, with a commitment to our Christian values, work as part of a holistic team to deliver a service that ensures that the needs of the children, young people and their families that we support, are fully met. You will be expected to work to the highest professional standards of those working within the Children’s workforce and adhere to professional codes of practice of SSSC, GTCS and other relevant professional bodies; ensuring that the aims and objectives of CrossReach and those specific to Children & Family Services and the section within which you are based are met

All adults within our services, regardless of specific job remit & role, have a responsibility to promote a Therapeutic Environment and contribute to the Relational Health of children and young people in our services and have an understanding of how their role contributes. Main Duties

  1. To be based in Education campus and work across core and cluster model.
  1. To support catering manager prepare and serve nutritionally balanced and attractively presented meals and snacks to reflect the individual needs and requests of the children and young people within the education resource.
  1. Ensure a high standard of hygiene and safety in the catering area and prompt children and young people to maintain general hygiene skills where appropriate.
  1. Ensure that all public areas in the education resource are cleaned regularly these include toilet and wash facilities.
  1. Responsible for hygiene of all dining areas in education resource.
  1. To comply with Health and Safety requirements in the kitchen and other catering areas and ensure all aspects of current health and hygiene legislation are adhered to.
  2. Support preparation of catering for special occasions such as parties and seasonal events.
  1. To participate in staff meetings and in training activities as and when required.
  1. To undertake any other duties as may reasonably fall within the parameters of the post as requested by the Catering Manager

To ensure that all information relating to service users is kept strictly confidential in line with CrossReach Policy and the Data Protection Act 1998

Quality Assurance

Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with the CrossReach Policies and Procedures providing quarterly management reports which will contribute to annual Standards and Quality report in line with National Care Standards and Care Inspectorate Quality Standards

Professional Development

To participate in staff development programme and attend meetings, training courses and seminars as required.

Essential
