The location of this post during Covid 19 will require home working and will be discussed at interview.
This is a temporary post for a 12 month period.
Salary is pro rata of 38.5 hours per week.

Main Function
Delivery of a strategic and intentional communication plan for CrossReach.
The Digital Marketing & Creative Services Advisor has responsibility for generating and delivering the CrossReach central plan of work, and for coordinating digital and print communications, ensuring best and correct use of the CrossReach branding and tone of voice.
This role will require a high level of initiative to support the growth in digital presence for a large social care provider during a significant period of change for individuals, their families and communities. We need you to create, adapt and distribute brilliant content across the key social media channels as well as traditional media platforms. Being a skilled SEO you will provide recommendations for website developments. The role will include marketing of services, events, website and information, and general awareness raising of the impact on the people we support.
This role is within the Business Development team who work alongside internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver the CrossReach strategic goals.
The Team has a broad communications remit supporting the whole organisation, reporting into the Chief Executive, and works across digital, video production, print and design, and links with the Church of Scotland for media relations.
Main Duties
- Lead and manage the cross-organisational communications planning process, generating a central, annual plan of work for CrossReach. Identifying competing prioritise and negotiating conflicts with senior managers to optimise resource.
- Plan and deliver creative projects by working with teams to produce thorough, well researched briefs, managing in-house and external resource, and managing the project in Line with central plans.
- Support colleagues across CrossReach to strategically market events, activities and information and evaluate the success of your tactics, sharing learning with others.
- Commission and manage suppliers for design, print, video etc., including one-off projects and longer-term contracts.
- Write and edit copy for creative projects, be responsible for final sign off and ensure consistent use of the brand and key messaging throughout. Oversee the management and delivery of CrossReach publications.
- Continually develop and improve the Business Development Team ways of working, including production processes, policies and guidelines and project management systems.
- Provide guidance and training for all CrossReach staff to improve their communications and ensure consistent use of CrossReach brand and processes.
- You will line manage a Business Development officer.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required.
- To demonstrate and share Christian love and support including sharing with others the leading of worship in accordance with CrossReach policy and by ensuring all staff meetings are opened with prayer and Bible reading.
Qualifications
Essential:
Professional qualification in copy writing, journalism, proof reading, digital marketing or project management to degree level.
Personal
- Will ideally have good level of content creation and copy writing experience.
- Must have a can-do attitude.
- Will have a strong level of Social Media management experience.
- Will have worked with influencers or had related PR experience.
- Manage the company's Social Media platforms.
- Engage with and reach out to influencers to promote the brand and its products.
- Create engaging content for the company's website and digital channels.
- Analyse performance of digital channels.

Skills and Abilities
Essential:
- At least three years’ experience in a digital marketing role, with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Significant experience of using insights to develop communications campaigns or strategies and reporting back on their success and achieved set objectives.
- Demonstrable understanding of the principles of good design, content, digital marketing and brand.
- Ability to develop, deliver and evaluate an organisational communications plan which meets the needs of people of different backgrounds, settings for internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrable experience of briefing and managing suppliers.
- Experience of using website CMS and excellent IT skills.
- Outstanding proofreading, copywriting and sub-editing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications and influencing skills.
- Professional attitude and credibility among colleagues to advise, recommend and negotiate based on expert knowledge, as well as lead, motivate and mentor team members.
- Displays initiative and is committed to professional development.
Desirable:
- Experience preferable in a social care or healthcare environment where local and national policy decisions impact on service provision.
- Experience of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) and video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut X).
- Understanding or experience of participation of those with lived experience of social care and community based services.
- Line management experience.
