Main Function

To assist in the processing of Payroll services and other services within the Finance Department ensuring that agreed timescales, legislative and audit requirements are met.

Main Duties

  1. To be responsible for a particular area of the Finance Department as agreed with the Payroll Officer/Finance Manager.
  2. To input all necessary data to the finance systems accurately and within agreed timescales.
  3. To download and check all timesheets submitted on HR21/MHR21.
  4. To ensure that all statutory payments are made and make deductions ensuring CrossReach complies with current legislation.
  5. To ensure that required forms are emailed/printed, and distributed to meet agreed timescales.
  6. To provide clarification, advice and guidance to staff and managers regarding MHR21/HR21 systems and all payments made.
  7. To run reports and provide statistical information from the Finance systems, as required by the Department and/or Business Partner.
  8. To provide guidance to Services in processing and authorising data.
  9. To complete and return authorised requests for information eg. mortgage references requests etc. within agreed timescales.
  10. To be responsible for the upkeep of accurate filing systems and general finance administration.
  11. To be involved in the development of systems to meet the needs of the Business Review.
  12. To undertake any other duties as specified by the Payroll Officer or Finance Manager.

Skills and Abilities

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a finance related office environment.
  • Ability to carry out accurate data entry.
  • Good personal communication skills- both verbal and written.
  • Experience of working with computer processing system and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work as an effective and enthusiastic member of a team and also to be capable of planning and using initiative in working towards tight deadlines.
