Information

Are you passionate about ensuring that all children grow up, loved, safe, respected and can realise their true potential?

Excellent because we are too. We are looking for someone to help us on our journey to #keepthepromise across our Children and Family services. You will be a changemaker, driven by passion and commitment to making the world a better place for the children and young people we support. You will be persistent in the face of challenges and have the courage and bravery to imagine a different future, a future in which all the children and young people we support can thrive.

CrossReach is one of Scotland’s largest voluntary social care organisations, and we are committed to implementing the Independent Care Review’s findings ‘The Promise’. As Improvement Officer, you will support the Promise Lead to deliver key elements of the improvement work, including a focus on engaging with and deepening the participation and involvement of the children, young people and families who use our services.

You will have a good understanding of the Independent Care Review’s findings ‘The Promise’ as well as experience of engaging with children, young people, and their families, ideally gained in the care sector. You will be an engaging communicator with the ability to successfully facilitate group discussions and workshops and be able to amplify the voices of those who can at sometimes feel unheard.  In return, we offer a range of training and development opportunities, including participating in the Promise Design School where you will learn the foundations of the Scottish Approach to Service Design as well as an excellent benefits package including an employer contributory pension and generous holiday allowance.

Crossreach embraces diversity and promotes equality of opportunity.  Job share, part time and flexible working opportunities will be considered. We encourage applicants who are care experienced. As our services are dispersed, some travel across the central belt will be required, with a blend of both office and home working.

This roll is a fixed term contract for 12 months, however there may be an opportunity to extend this role depending upon funding opportunities.

If you would like to find out more about this opportunity please contact Ruth Forster on ruth.forster@crossreach.org.uk or 07702442860
