Gaberston House is at the heart of the community in Alloa where we support adults experiencing mental health issues to take control of their own life and their journey of recovery.  We provide accommodation, as well as outreach support at home, and our aim is to help them shape the service, when and where they need it.

Support may include providing help with writing letters, encouragement to take responsibility for their own clothing and personal care or helping with their shopping.  It can be pretty challenging at times but working as part of our support team, your support will definitely make the difference.

What do you need?  No direct experience is required.  It’s more a positive approach and a genuine interest in helping others in a practical way.  Experience of social care would be an advantage and a qualification in Social Work or Nursing would be ideal but is not essential.
