Information

CrossReach recognise that having a baby is a challenging time in any parent’s life, with 2 in 5 parents experiencing emotional difficulties during pregnancy and early parenthood.  Left undetected and untreated the effects can go on for years and impact the whole family.

For over 30 years, our Perinatal Counselling and Therapy Service has provided a safe and welcoming Crèche, where parents feel completely comfortable leaving their children whilst they receive the support they need in order to move forward.

As a Senior Crèche Worker you will support the clinical service and lead a welcoming, safe, secure and stimulating space for children aged 0-5 whose parents are attending the Service.  You will have a lead role in supporting and nurturing each child as an individual, have a clear understanding and knowledge of GIRFEC.  You will be able to provide care sensitively and respectfully for the unique needs of each child, promoting positive relationships.  You will be able to use self evaluation tools and implement guidelines such as "Realising the Ambition" and "How Good is our Early Learning in Childcare".  You will promote open ended play experiences, through creativity, enquiry and creativity.  You will also be required to contribute to achieving the highest professional standards of social care practice and for ensuring that quality standards are met.

The successful applicant will require to be registered with the SSSC as a Practitioner in a day care of children service, if they are not already.  You will therefore need to be qualified to a level that fulfills their initial registration requirements.  We are also fully committed to supporting the successful applicant with any further development with regards to formal qualifications and consider any reasonable requirements for CPD a great investment.

Salary is pro rata of 38.5 hours per week.
