What to Expect

Counselling sessions are offered from Simpson House, our Central Edinburgh base, as well as online or on the phone. Our counsellors are trained in a variety of counselling approaches and will work at a pace that suits you. Appointments are weekly and last around 50 minutes. We will discuss the day, time and frequency of these sessions with you when we first meet. You can make a referral yourself or you can ask a professional, e.g. your CPN, support worker, or social worker to make a referral for you.

To access this service you must be:

  • Over 18 years old
  • Impacted by your own or a family member’s drug use (predominantly opiates and benzodiazepines)
  • Living in the City of Edinburgh EH1-EH17 or EH28-30 and registered with a GP in that area.
