Education Pathways are the range of different routes that children and young people follow as they move into, through and out of the education system.
These pathways are different for every child and young person, but they will all move in the same direction.
Pathways begin at the Broad General Education Phase (Primary 1 to S3) and a Senior Phase (S4 to further education, employment or training).
Each pathway presents unique opportunities and challenges for children and young people with the aim of giving them the skills needed to move forward on their journey into further education, employment or training.
