Employee benefits

In addition to competitive salaries and a comprehensive training programme, we offer a package of benefits to all staff.

Pension Plan
The pension scheme we offer is provided by Legal and General. You’ll have choice about your own level of contribution and how the funds are invested. As your employer we will also make contributions, which are higher than statutory requirements.

Health benefit scheme
We make contributions for all employees on contracted hours to a health benefit scheme provided by Westfield Health.

  • Claim back some dental, optical and therapy costs
  • Receive quick access to MRI, CT and PET scanning facilities
  • 24 hour Freephone Counselling and Advice lines for you and your resident family
  • Access to Westfield Rewards, giving you access to special offers on over 350 leading online and high street retailers

Everyday health plan
We also offer an everyday health plan provided through Simply Health. You simply choose the plan that suits you and make monthly payments from your salary. You can then take tax-free cash payments to assist with a wide range of health care expenses, including glasses and contact lenses, dental bills, acupuncture or maternity costs.

Holiday allowance
2
0 days holidays plus 10 bank holidays pro rata.

Sick leave entitlement
Supportive arrangements in place – above the statutory minimum.

Maternity leave entitlement
Enhanced maternity pay over and above Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) rates (dependent upon length of service).

Childcare vouchers
We offer childcare vouchers through Computershare. The scheme allows you to exchange up to £243 of your gross monthly salary for childcare vouchers. Because the part of your salary you exchange for childcare vouchers is tax-free and exempt from National Insurance contributions (NI), you can make savings of up to £933* a parent, a year.

Credit Union payroll scheme
The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) Credit Union helps you to save regularly by deducting manageable amounts from your salary by payroll and putting it into a savings account. Subject to conditions you can then also borrow money at a much lower rate of interest.

Give as You Earn
This is a cost effective and convenient way to make a regular donation to any registered charity or charities of your choice. Deductions will be made from your salary on a monthly basis before tax or NI is taken off, then paid to your favourite charity or charities.

Death in Service Benefit
Crossreach provides life assurance known as Death in Service Benefit of three times salary up until age 74 for all employees on contracted hours.
