EDF provides critical supplies to CrossReach staff

CEO Viv Dickenson with EDF donation of face masks

In recent weeks we have been moved by the different ways individuals and local businesses have come alongside us as we continue to provide crucial care and support to the people who use our services.

One of these has been the  provision of 3,000 face masks by energy supplier EDF, which will help to ensure the safety and protection of our staff and residents. Three sites: Torness power station in East Lothian, Hunterston B power station in North Ayrshire and EDF’s office in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, have each given 1,000 masks which have been making their way to our services across Scotland.

Rob Guyler, EDF’s Chief Financial Officer, said: “As part of the UK’s critical infrastructure we understand only too well the importance of keeping your workforce healthy at this time and for those working in frontline caring roles PPE is crucial. "

“We want to be able to do our bit to support people in the community during these difficult times so we are happy to be able to make this donation.” - Rob Guyler, EDF’s Chief Financial Officer

On receiving the supplies one CrossReach Care Home manager commented:

“It is amazing how kind and thoughtful people are being. It means so much to know that as social care workers you are loved and cared for by others when you are loving and caring for those in your care." - CrossReach Care Home manager

From all at CrossReach, a heartfelt thank you!
