The Glasgow Alliance to End Homelessness have launched a new website to support the city’s efforts to end homelessness and rough sleeping.

The Alliance is a partnership of organisations and people affected by homelessness who have come together after Glasgow City Council issued a tender to establish an Alliance which would transform homelessness services.

Understanding that ‘more of the same won’t do’, the Alliance takes an innovative partnership approach and is a major shift from the traditional commissioner/provider relationship.

By operating through unanimous decision-making and eliminating the need for competitive tendering processes, the Alliance has a clear mission to work collaboratively to end homelessness and rough sleeping in Glasgow by 2030.

CrossReach is one of the Alliance partners, which also include Aspire, Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Homelessness and Involvement Feedback team, Homeless Network Scotland, Mungo Foundation, Sacro, Salvation Army, Wheatley Care and YPeople.

The website will function as a resource for people looking for further information about Glasgow Alliance to End Homelessness, volunteering opportunities, and signpost to support for people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness.

Mark Kelvin, Alliance Director, Glasgow Alliance to End Homelessness says:

‘We’re delighted to share our new website, which we hope will encourage people to find out about who we are and join our movement for change.
The Glasgow Alliance to End Homelessness is a collective of passionate people and organisations committed to ending homelessness and rough sleeping by 2030. Still, we know we can’t achieve this in isolation. We want to involve people from across different sectors, and importantly, citizens of Glasgow, in achieving this goal.
Our website is an important first step in letting people know we are here and keen to work together.’
