GO2 shines in Care Inspectorate inspection

We are delighted to share that our GO2 day & Community Service was awarded a grade 5 - very good, following a recent Care Inspectorate inspection.
The inspection began with an unexpected surprise when our inspector arrived unannounced, during a team meeting. But, after cancelling the meeting, the managers and seniors seamlessly changed gears and supported the inspector with documentation and opportunities to meet with staff and young people.
The two-day inspection proved less stressful than might have been first imagined, as the inspector adeptly slotted into GO2's schedule, observing a range of activities which make GO2 a vibrant and welcoming service for young people with disabilities.
Feedback received the following week was very positive. It highlighted that there is a genuine sense of community in the service. Young people are warmly greeted at the door, and the atmosphere is relaxed and young-person-centred. Our staff were commended on the strong relationships they have with young people demonstrating a genuine interest in their lives. The team was recognised for promoting choice, being outcome focussed, and supporting young people well through change. They are skilled at risk-enabling and were also noted for being curious and responsive when young people present differently or became dysregulated.
This is a fantastic result and a reflection of a great team of dedicated and professional staff. A huge congratulations to everyone at GO2 for this well-deserved achievement. Thank you for the positive difference you continue to make in the lives of the young people you support.
