How would you celebrate a 70 year anniversary?

Our Whinnieknowe Care Home, with the support of the local community, pulled out all the stops to host an incredible Victorian fun day to celebrate theirs and the 150th anniversary of CrossReach.

The whole community got involved donating time, talents, food and memorabilia to make the day a feast for all the senses. There was cake, Clydesdales, penny farthings, face painting and live music  - something for everyone to enjoy!

“What an absolute blast we had at Whinnieknowe 70 anniversary yesterday, and so delighted the sun shone all day”

Sarah Coulson, events co-ordinator said:

“We want to say thank you very much to everyone who attended our event and to those who ‘liked’ our event and posts. We really appreciate your support. We raised approx £1200 and our residents will now get to decide how that money will be spent”
