Accommodation you can feel at home in
Our residential care is offered in 30 single and 2 double rooms. These rooms can be offered unfurnished, so you can bring your own possessions and personal items to make yourself truly at home. You’re also welcome to have your own television and telephone in your room.

Every room has a call system so you can summon assistance 24 hours a day.

There are plenty of spacious and attractive communal areas that encourage social contact.

We pride ourselves on the high standard of our catering. Meals and menus are flexible to meet the of individuals’ needs and preferences, and we can accommodate special diets.

Your Individual Care Plan
All service users will be involved with staff in drawing up their own care plan, which will ensure we meet all your care needs in full.

Family involvement
As a Balmedie resident you are encouraged to maintain close links with your family and friends, who are welcome to visit at any time.  Tea and coffee making facilities are available in our Cafe area.

Community involvement
We have strong links with our local community. We encourage visits from school children, provide transport each Sunday morning to church and offer a library service. We also have our Circle of Friends who befriend residents and organise outings and entertainment.

Respite care
To enable carers to have a break, or cope with unforeseen circumstances, we offer respite care at Balmedie House. We aim to continue the daily routine enjoyed at home as far as possible, as well as making this an opportunity for a break.
