Welcome to our Counselling Service, Moray

Service update February 2024:

Perinatal Counselling and Therapy: We are accepting new referrals for donation-based and fixed-fee clients who can attend face to face, via a secure video platform or by telephone. Contact moray.counselling@crossreach.org.uk for further information.

General one-to-one counselling: Due to the very high demand for our general one-to-one counselling service, we are currently unable to take on new referrals for our Donation Counselling Service.  We will regularly review our ability to take on new donation-based referrals, so please check this page for an update

We can accept referrals for fixed-fee clients who are able to attend via a secure video platform or telephone. At £50 per session, your first session will normally be arranged within two weeks, with one of our highly experienced counsellors. We recommend you can pay for a minimum of 6 sessions. To find out more about this option, please contact moray.counselling@crossreach.org.uk.

If you require immediate support, please contact the Samaritans on 116 123; Breathing Space on 0800 83 85 87; your GP or NHS 24 on 111.

Your Appointment
Appointments are usually weekly and last around 50 minutes. We’ll discuss the day, time and frequency of these sessions with you when we first meet.

Our donation-based and fixed-fee service
We offer a donation based counselling service. There may be a waiting list for this service. At the start of your therapy, we will ask you if you can make a contribution towards your counselling.

CrossReach is a registered Scottish Charity, and we rely on the generosity of our clients and supporters to fund our Counselling Services, with each counselling session costing £50 for us to deliver. We ask that you only donate what you are comfortable with and can afford, and we never turn anyone away if they can’t make a contribution. You can donate by cheque, cash or via BACS on a weekly basis or as a one-off. Any donation that you can make towards your sessions makes a big difference to us, and it’s a great way to invest in the future of your mental wellbeing.

We also offer a Fixed-Fee service at £50 per session. Not only does this service have great benefits for you – fast and flexible access to counselling with one of our qualified and experienced counsellors – it also helps fund our donation-based service, so we can provide counselling to those who might otherwise struggle to access support. Your first session will normally be arranged within two weeks and we recommend you are able to pay for a minimum of 6 sessions. To find out more about this option, please contact the team.
