Long term care and support for children and young people with disabilities.
At the Garratt, we offer round-the-clock care and support to young people in a way that encourages them to reach their maximum potential.
Our house is in Springburn, ten minutes from Glasgow city centre. Furnished in a bright and homely way, it provides a safe and stimulating environment for the children. It has 4 spacious ensuite bedrooms, a large lounge/dining area, family room and garden. All are wheelchair accessible.
Right next door is the Mallard, which includes a sensory rooms, spa, computer room and garden with sensory garden and summer. Young people staying at the Garratt have full use of these facilities.
We also have use of a car and minibus, which are both wheelchair accessible.

Personal Plan and Key Worker
Everyone using The Garratt has a Personal Plan and a named Key Worker. The Key Worker spends time with the young person and their family and carers to ensure that they receive the highest standard of care and support. Together we consider, create and continually review a Personal Plan that will meet their needs and support their agreed outcomes.
We believe it’s in everyone’s best interests for young people and their families to be fully involved in what happens at the Garratt. We keep parents up to date by newsletter and events such as BBQs and parties.
Our wonderful staff
Our staff love working alongside young people, but they also take their responsibilities very seriously. They are all registered with the Scottish Social Care Council and are PVG checked. They take part in a programme of continual personal development to ensure they are able to deliver the highest level of care.
