There are a number of volunteer and student placement opportunities at Sunflower Garden.
Taxi Buddy
Our Taxi Buddies are a team of volunteers who assist by escorting children to Sunflower Garden, and then escorting children to a specified location at the end of their group/individual session. This ensures that the children are safe, secure and relaxed on the way to and from the project, connecting them with their carers at home. All transport is provided through a local taxi firm.
Group Assistant
Group Assistants support the running of Sunflower Garden groups. Working with others and with support from trained children’s worker(s) they help to provide a structured and stimulating group session for children who are affected by drug and alcohol use in their families.
Volunteer Counsellors/Art and Play Therapists
Opportunities are available for qualified counsellors/therapists to volunteer with us.
