Viv Dickenson was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of CrossReach in June 2017 having previously been the organisation’s Director of Children and Family Services.
Viv graduated from St Andrews University in 1985 with an honours degree in Psychology and has since gained qualifications in counselling, and holds a postgraduate certificate in leadership in Social Services. She worked for 10 years within the management teams of HM Prison Service England and Wales, serving as a governor grade in a number of prisons and in a variety of operational roles.
Following this, she undertook training in counselling and counselling supervision, joining CrossReach in 1995 when she moved back to Scotland with her young family. Her career within CrossReach has included working operationally in the fields of Postnatal Depression, Addictions, Mental Health, Homelessness and Children and Family Services and in a central support role in strategic planning.
