Belmont Castle

Why choose us?

We understand that the best care and modern facilities along with a flexible and sympathetic approach to residents are merely accepted aspects of a modern carehome. That’s why we go further.

We have a passionate and experienced team, some who have spent all their working life at Belmont Castle. We think of them more as our ‘family’, and they create a special, unique atmosphere. We feel this matches the special, unique building that is Belmont Castle.

In-keeping with this, our home creates an ambiance that is unique for each resident and we offer:

  • Delicious meals, with snacks throughout the day
  • An assurance that special dietary needs are creatively catered for
  • Regular Hairdresser, Shop and Laundry services
  • A regular Church service, if required
  • Special outings along with regular weekly entertainment
  • Friends Groups and opportunities to meet others
  • Craftwork, quizzes, therepeutic treatments, films and other events

Benefits

There are many reasons to choose Belmont Castle and one of these has to be our magnificent building. We enjoy a scale and a majesty that just can’t be matched in many modern properties. Indeed many of the interiors and rooms within Belmont Castle enjoy ‘listed’ status.

Far from being a museum piece though, we’ve moved with the times and incorporated every modern facility you’d expect. So, you truly get the old world grandeur and scale, matched with 21st Century facilities.

Our location is also an important benefit of Belmont Castle. We’re within easy access of the Central Belt and equidistant between the access points of Dundee, Forfar and Blairgowrie. The pretty town of Meigle is only a mile away from the Castle. We’re lucky to be situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland.

The levels of care and service are obviously a very important aspect in any decision. As you would imagine every care home in Scotland is closely regulated. Whilst we were awarded 5 star status in our recent Care Commission inspection, it’s something we don’t take for granted. Our long serving staff, most who live locally are an integral part of the warmth and personality at Belmont Castle that makes us stand out from other care homes. Our people are something we’re very proud of.

Staff are recruited in line with CrossReach’s recruitment policy and responsible to the Unit Manager or Deputy. They are employed subject to Enhanced Disclosure. A specific member of care staff, a ‘Keyworker’ will have the main responsibility in delivering individual care, which will be done sensitively, respecting at all times privacy, dignity and individuality.

Communications are vital and provision is made for :

  • Regular meetings between the Unit Manager and the Deputy.
  • Regular staff meetings.
  • Handover of information at the commencement of each shift.
  • Shift planning at the commencement of each shift.
  • Reviews of all residents
  • Daily recording of resident records
