Here is the news...from the Threshold Glasgow News Channel

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a news presenter? Well, for some of our customers at Threshold Glasgow, that dream has become a reality!

After chatting with customers, and hearing about their interest in current events, Project Worker Audrey created the Threshold Glasgow News Channel.

Researched and developed by customers, participants gather and read newspapers together to decide what information to share, and create a weekly bulletin for others to enjoy. The News Channel empowers customers to become news and weather presenters, reporting the events in their own unique way, with flair and some great props!

Staff say “One of the most exciting things about the news team is the benefits it has for our customers. It provides them with the opportunity to become weather and news presenters, giving them the chance to see people like themselves represented on a news channel. It's also a great way for them to develop communication and presentation skills, as well as building confidence and self-esteem.”

We're excited to see the impact that the Threshold Glasgow News Team will have on our customers and the wider community. Who knows, we may even have some future stars in the making!
