Services offered at Polmont Prison Visitors Centre

  • Support for prison visitors in Perth and Polmont

We offer:

  • Information about prison processes 
  • Emotional support with the process of prison visiting and having a loved one in custody
  • Support for children visiting a loved one in HMPYOI Polmont
  • Support with visiting the prison for those with challenges due to neurodiversity 
  • Referrals to other organisations who may be able to provide more specific support
  • Help with travel expense claims
  • Opportunities for families to give feedback to the prison

Where can you find us?

The Visitors Centre office is in the main foyer of the prison entrance. The Visitors Centre itself is after the security checks, and is where visitors wait before going into the visit.  It is a welcoming space offering free refreshments, a children’s play area, toilets, information and an opportunity to relax before or after a visit. 

Visiting a loved one in prison can be a difficult process, our staff are here to help with any aspect of emotional support or practical information.  Visitors Centre staff are always contactable either in the Visitors Centre, in the office in reception, or via the phone/ email details below.
