Erskine Waterfront Campus, CrossReach is in full support of the fact that no pupil should be impacted upon by period poverty.
On campus, we will provide products, education and an inclusive nurturing environment free from judgement and with dignity. In our school community, echoed in every CrossReach service, we commit to the right of all to access free period products.
We will do this through:
- Continuing a range of free and fully accessible sanitary products at our service.
- Creating an environment in which pupils are provided with safe reflective spaces to discuss periods and the menopause, whether they themselves, or someone they are supporting, is experiencing symptoms.
- Creating learning opportunities for all pupils to gain a wider understanding of this right.
- Ensure staff are equipped and supported to provide the necessary support with confidence and reassurance.
- We will use our own platform and our numerous partnership connections to contribute to the local and regional efforts in eradicating period poverty.
